I was saved the night of the Big Earthquake in Alaska in 1964, but I grew slowly for 5 years. I was challenged to read the Bible through in one year while in the Navy. In 1971, I was challenged to go to a Bible college. After graduation in 1980, my life has been a series of ups and downs but I have been and am growing through it all. Spiritual growth takes time and I am reminded of what a professor told me in 1971, “you need to be planted by the waters a long time.” Psalm 1:3 My favorite verse right now is II Peter 1:3-4
Ron Gherman - Elder
I first knew the Lord as a little boy in Ohio and love studying and teaching the Bible. I grew up pitching fastpitch softball and love fishing. I spent 47 years as a teacher, coach, and principal. My favorite verse is James 1:22 , "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

I was raised in a small town in New York State along with 10 brothers and sisters. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was about 6 years old. I graduated from Baptist Bible School and taught 3rd grade for a year before getting married. In January, 1971, my husband passed away rather suddenly, leaving me with 2 little girls and 9 months pregnant. A few days after the funeral, I was blessed with a baby boy. In June, our little family traveled to Kodiak, AK to help my missionary brother for the summer. I met Larry there and offered him occasional home-cooked meals since he would be attending the same Bible school that my husband was attending when he died. In December, 1971, God blessed me with a godly husband and father to my 3 little ones. Since then, God has continued to bless. I have worked in the church doing whatever was needed over the years. I have always found my Lord to be faithful and trustworthy. Proverbs 3:5-6
